Occupational therapy (OT) is an evidence-based practice, deeply rooted in science. OT practitioners are the only graduate-level healthcare professionals who's primary focus it to help people across the lifespan to do things they want and need to do though the therapeutic use of daily activities (occupations).  OT's enable people of all ages to live life more fully by helping them promote their own health through prevention or to live better with injury, illness or disability.

Occupational therapy services typically include:

  • Individualized Evaluation, to determine client centered goals---your goals
  • Customized Intervention to improve the client’s ability to perform daily activities and reach their goals.
  • Outcomes Evaluation to ensure that the goals are being met and/or changes are made to the intervention plan.

Occupational therapists begin by asking "what matters to you?" rather that "what's the matter with you?"  This allows us to focus on building an environment that helps the individual lead a safe and satisfying life at home by prioritizing opportunities over constraints.

The occupational therapy practitioners at Living Fully At Home, LLC  take a holistic perspective focusing on adapting the environment and/or task to fit the individual at home.  We view the individual and other members as being an integral part of the therapy team.
